The Theatre at Ace Hotel is literally the foundation of Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles. Our loving reanimation of the former 1927 flagship Spanish Gothic movie house of United Artists, The Theatre serves as Los Angeles' burgeoning epicenter for arts and entertainment. It's a bridge connecting historic Los Angeles to the shimmering improvisational future of Downtown LA.

Atelier Ace restored the intricate plasterwork inside The Theatre, and gave the vintage seats a dust-good slap, as well. Yin-yang patterned carpet, inspired by the original ceiling of the mezzanine, runs throughout, along with a new Deco-inspired ticket booth in the façade. An Atelier Ace cathedral to humanism, steeped in history, looking forward.

It's the pulse of American Trade Hotel — a 50-seat, world class jazz club programmed in partnership with iconic Panamanian pianist Danilo Pérez. Danilo's Jazz Club was built from the brickwork of the city's rich jazz legacy — Panama's cross-pollination with Dixieland players and beyond in the first half of the twentieth century. We met Danilo through the efforts of his Danilo Pérez Foundation, where the Grammy-winning composer works to nurture young musicians’ development through music education. His enthusiasm's contagious, and we became fast friends.

Situated in the heart of Shoreditch, Miranda is the living cosmos beneath Ace Hotel London — a busy amalgam of inspirations. It's a place to see bands and DJs, to grab some drinks and food and sweat it out. Worlds away from the clubs and pubs that line the streets nearby — a place where hotel guests and locals stretch nights into the infinite. Miranda takes her name from the eleventh moon of Uranus — a celestial body that likely came apart and reassembled itself following some mysterious cataclysmic event. 

Ace Hotel & Swim Club's Amigo Room is a cozy bat cave where you can escape the desert and sip a drink while you play sassy bingo or watch bands and DJs ply their skills. There's something different going on most every night — comedians and performance artists, bands, game nights — all of it. The Amigo Room hosts parties for Coachella, Gay Pride and every holiday we use it as an excuse to lay around by the pool with a fresh cocktail and good food.
